Our gunite projects typically take 12 weeks from the breaking of ground to filling the pool with water. Our fiberglass installs are usually much quicker, around 8 weeks from shell delivery to completion.

A pool heater is a great way to extend the swimming pool season here in Maryland. Without heat, there is about a 3 month window of comfortable water temperatures for swimming. Many of our customers with heaters are able to use their pools from April - November.

Yes. All counties in Maryland require a fence/barrier around the pool. Some counties will allow an automatic pool cover to count as a barrier, but this is usually on a case by case basis. The best course is to plan for a fence!

One of the leading methods for residential pool sanitation is through the use of salt water chlorine generators. These devices use electrolysis to break down salt molecules in the water and produce chlorine. SWCG’s are a great way to maintain a steady supply of chlorine through the pool season.

This is largely personal preference. Pools with heaters are able to open in early April, but incur a larger utility cost of heating the pool. Waiting until late May can allow algae to begin to flourish as the water temperatures rise, leading to a greener pool at opening. We find that late April - early May to be the sweet spot.

Here in Maryland it is crucial to winterize your pool at the end of the season. This protects your pool from freeze damage during the coldest months of the year. Most of our clients close by early November.
